A Memorable Winter Bedroom for the Holidays

This winter why not transform your bedroom into a cozy sanctuary? The holiday season is the perfect time to bring memorable colors, textures, and festive decor to your holiday bedroom. Winter is one of those seasons that makes cuddling up in your bed so enjoyable when it is blusterry cold outside! Bring festive touches to your bedroom like evergreen, stringing holiday lights, and using bedding with winter prints and motif to create a bedroom that you love this holiday season. Here are a few ways to bring the season into your bedroom.

Bring color and patterns into your holiday bedroom

One of the easiest ways to create a memorable bedroom is with color, patterns and textures. Rich cranberry red, fresh cut pine green and country-style gingham and tartan plaid create a cozy, yet refined feeling to your holiday bedroom. This bedroom has a sophisticated festive touch by intermixing red, gray, and white. Paired with colorful throw pillows in matching colors and throw blankets can create a bedroom that is rich with ambiance and memories of festive holidays of the past. Choose your favorite winter motifs such as reindeer, natural pinecones or woodland animal printed bedding to customize your bedroom how you wish.

Add fresh evergreen to your Christmas bedroom

If there is one decorative element to add to your bedroom this holiday season it has to be fresh cut evergreen. Whether you cut a few limbs from your Christmas tree or you ask your local florist or Christmas tree lot sales person for their trimmings you can always bring the scent of the season to your bedroom with them. Evergreen garland hung in swags from your windows, headboard, or even around a canopy bed will envelope your bedroom in rich Christmas scents but will also add texture and natural color to any room. The beauty of evergreen is that it looks beautiful on it’s own or can be embellished with string lights, ornaments, ribbon, and even small ornaments to bring the colors of your bedroom together in a festive way.

This holiday season bring in all that you love about the holiday into your bedroom. With rich colors, patterned bedding and string lights wrapped around aromatic evergreen garland your bedroom is one step closer to a memorable bedroom this season.
