Are you ready for color choosing for your home? Last week I touched on some great color combinations ideas, and what colors look great together. How about choosing colors in the same family? Instead of doing a soft pink and a deep chocolate brown, how about a robin egg’s blue, and a pale sky blue? Pick a color, any color to make this decor thing easy!
Real Simple has an article that focuses on choosing one color, and finding the right shade and hue.
Blue:
Fiery and vibrant, the color red is used to evoke emotions. Used in bedrooms and dining rooms. This color is not for the timid! Creative home decorating room by room has great examples of how to use red on it’s own or with complimentary colors.
Yellow:
Yellow can calm, or it can excite. Yellow can be used as a neutral color for the majority of walls in a space or it can be used as an accent. Better Homes and Gardens has a wonderful pairing of yellow and black. The color combination makes for pure sophistication!
