Labor Day is around the corner and that means back-to-school time is here! Whether your kid’s are young or old, getting ready for school means preparation and planning out schedules. College age students love getting back to their own places that they can call their own.  Whether it is an off campus apartment or a dormitory room, college students want to make their ‘pad’ THE place to hang out!

When thinking of color themes for college students, does it seem like you never know what colors to choose? Dorm rooms can be drab and utilitarian so pep up their space with fun color themes that make them excited to stay in their 4 walls!

Here are some suggestions on what you need to make the best dorm room ever!

Help your kids make their dorm rooms unique and fun

Checklist for Dorm Room:

• Bedding: Pillows, sheets, comforter/bed spread, mattress cover (a must!)
• Area rugs/carpet
• Lamp for desk, and bedside
• Pictures to hang on the wall, family/friend pictures
• Radio, stereo, headphones, MP3 player
• Portable fan
• Microwave and/or refrigerator (If allowed in dorm rooms)
• Iron, small ironing board
• Small decor items to make your room feel personalized to match your theme colors!

Turquoise and chocolate brown is modern and hip!

Yellow brightens the mood of any dorm room!
