When the time comes that your kids need to have their own room, it means careful planning. Your kids’ bedroom is not just an ordinary room. It is where your children should experience comfort and refuge. A place where they can relax when tired and get focus when needed. Whether they like a cosmic star ceiling or sports inspired furniture, let their imagination soar!
A themed bedroom is a great idea. This will set the tone for what you want your child to feel and experience. You can collect some ideas based on what you observed that your kids are fond of. It may be from the toys they love to play, shows they love to watch or even color they find attractive.

To help you on this quest, here are a few examples of themed bedroom for your children:
Superheroes
Most children have their own favorite superhero icon. It might be Superman, Batman, Cat Girl or Superwoman! Whatever they love embellish their room with inspirations from the movie, television show, etc. In decorating this type of theme, you can place posters and signs related to the superheros as well as use bedding, wall decor, carpets and matching accessories to brighten up every inch of their room.
Sports
Playing and being athletic is your kid’s way of life. It is part of their development and they learn from it. For boys, it is more likely related to racing, soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball and many other ball games. While your girls may prefer gymnastics, dance, swimming and other sports that will show of poise and grace. Whether they like climbing and building a treehouse or they just like to play in their rooms, sports inspired rooms are always fun.
With sports theme, there are ready-made or customized bed and furniture that is shaped like balls, cars and other accessories related to a certain sport. Feel free to paint their room with the shade of color that will represent their choice of sports. Also consider using wall stickers, decals, and wallpaper that are pre-printed to save you time and energy!

Under the Sea
This can be a very cozy and relaxing bedroom theme. It provides a refreshing look at the bedroom. You can have the walls painted with blue with under the sea creatures such as different species of fishes attached to the walls or ceiling. It is also recommended to design their quilt, bed sheets and bedroom accessories under the sea creatures.

Introduce a nautical theme into your child’s room
Ask your kids what they would like their room to look like. While you may have some ideas, make it a decision you all both agree on!
