Sensational Black Accents – Blackberry Inspired Decor
I had just made a foray into a narrow street, where low-height multicolored canopies provided the much required cover from the searing sun. Vendors displayed their exquisite fineries and a small boy sprinkled water on the street to beat the heat. A box of blackberries caught my attention. The beautiful deep purple, almost black, shiny fruit, composed of many drupes looked very attractive and the seaweed colored cardboard that encased it formed an interesting contrast. I immediately knew that this color combination was perfect for my little kitchen table, that I now planned to decorate with black vases and pots holding fresh green foliage. A whiff of cool breeze from somewhere snapped me out of my reverie and I paid the vendor, put the blackberry box into my shopping bag and dwelled in the happiness of experimenting with my fruit inspired summer decor.

Vibrant Reds – Strawberry Inspired Decor
Just a few steps ahead, lay a vast spread of fresh strawberries sprinkled with water. The garden-fresh fragrance carried me to the stall and the expansive red with bright green interludes, formed a rather spectacular scene. “More decorating ideas!”, I thought. Progressing, from my recent blackberry inspiration, I speculated over what spur could the strawberries bring in? And just as I closed my eyes to take a bite into the savory fruit, offered to me by the vendor, a brilliant idea popped up in my head! A dull green living room with strawberry colored couches, leaf green and off white cushions, all set up besides a cosy fireplace. Throws, Pillows and Shams were an alternate thought stream that gushed along. Mom, was anyways looking to do the mantel in her living room. Probably, strawberries could inspire her living room decor

Classic Blueberry Notes & Royal Purple Highlights – Blueberry and Plum Inspired Decor
Blueberries stepped in next, inspiring me thoroughly, to paint my grandma’s accent table in its hues. Mulberries, Raspberries and Watermelons participated in the creative feast with the deep purples, vibrant reds and refreshing greens taking charge of my creative energies. Plums, added to the joy. The gorgeous purple was enough to let me relish the fruit without tasting it. I thought it could really become a part of my summer decor in the form of curtains, table runners and suchlike accent upholstery.

Refreshing Yellows and Fiery Reds
As I wrapped up my little outing, a vendor stood with mangoes and cherries. I must admit that the casual stroll ended on a rather colorful note and I imagined bright yellow and red ceramic pots and cups becoming a part of my teatime routine.
