The natural beauty of plants can simply turn a dull area into a lively and attractive view. Whether it’s in your garden or potted, plants are necessary in any home. For those with limited space for a backyard garden, potted plants are great alternatives. Pots are easy to reposition and can handle almost all types of plants.

If you are not impressed with the simplicity of the pots, well, worry no more. You can actually do something to enhance the looks of your typical pot design. This can be done in a few simple steps. Here’s a DIY creative painting terra cotta pots idea that you can make:

Materials Needed
- Rubber bands (Large)
- Terra-cotta pots with saucers
- Primer
- Aluminum foil
- Paintbrush
- Acrylic Paint
- Knife or Cutter
- Masking tape

Procedure
- Wrap the rubber band around the base of the pots. Position the rubber band into a curve where one side is higher than the other.
- Paint the saucer. Do this while the bottom of the pot is positioned properly at the center of the saucer. Let it dry for a few minutes.
- Make sure that you paint is just beneath the rubber band. Its purpose is to set limitations or borders where you can paint.
- You can choose any color or combine colors you wanted. Just make sure that the colors complement each other. Let it dry for a few minutes.
- Wrap the area above the rubber band (unpainted) with an aluminum foil. Conceal areas not covered by the aluminum foil with masking tape. Do this carefully.
- Turn the pots upside down for better drying condition.
- Using the knife or cutter, cut the rubber band, masking tape and aluminum foil.
- Fill in the pots with soil and plants.
You can also choose the paint color that matches your plant or vice versa. Now you can have a beautiful and creative project for your home.
