Feed Your Creative Soul
If you have knack for any creative activity like drawing, cooking, writing, etc., try to upgrade it in more challenging ways this summer. If you love to cook, arrange for a cooking competition with your friends and family members. If you love to sing, take singing lessons online or with a tutor and mesmerize everyone. Take part in local writing or painting competitions to check your capability. Make a list of short story ideas, pen them down, or visit the local art museum to draw painting inspiration. If you love to cook, arrange for a cooking competition with your friends and family members. All these things will be great fun and help you passing the long summer vacation without getting bored.
Take a Vacation
Taking road trips are the most common summer activities. People love exploring new areas and joining numerous free festivals this time. You can make your week-long road trip a mix of fun and philanthropy. Volunteer in any of your local organizations during day time and hit local hot spots at night. You can also use the road trip to produce a mini documentary on any interesting issue. Otherwise, select a fun topic and interview people you meet along the way. Watching these footages later on will be a great fun.

Bonding time with Family
The summer vacation is a great occasion to arrange for frequent get-togethers. Organize meet-ups with friends and get creative together. Arrange for pizza parties and ask guests to come up with their own unique pizza ideas. Go to the concerts of your favorite music group or join any of the summer festivals with your friends. If you love music, start a band with a few friends who share the same passion. You can get your favorite sheet music and practice with all the right notes! Organize music sessions and create tunes for the your family trip.

Volunteer & Donate
Philanthropic activities not only help others but also boost your self-esteem. Do a wardrobe cleaning and donate the old clothes to a local homeless shelter. You can also use them for buying new ones as some thrift stores offer the chance of trading old clothes for new ones. Otherwise, you can host a fund-raiser event like a car wash to help a local food bank or charity. Encourage the kids to mow the lawns in the neighborhood, especially where senior citizens live, for free.
Summer vacation is a great time to relax but the long summer break is supposed to bring occasional boredom too. However, the abovementioned activities will hopefully help you passing some exciting time.
