Fall DIY Planter – Procedure
- Using a serrated knife, cut the top portion of your gourd or squash forming a circle. Make the circle about 3 inches in diameter. Always take extra precaution when using a knife. Gourd and squash differ in their firmness – one may be harder than the other.
- Scoop out the pulp and seeds inside. You can easily do this using a spoon. Do this slowly and carefully to avoid damaging your gourd or squash. Don’t apply too much force but just enough to empty the space inside. Take your time in doing this step.
- Fill in your foliages and flowers. Make use of autumn leaves to hold the foliages and flowers together. Don’t think of doing this in just one try. Use your creativity and do some trial and error settings. It is best if you can take a picture for each trial and then compare the results. Choose the one that captures your attention.
