Pastries:
After spending all day preparing a huge meal, the only thing most Thanksgiving dinner hosts can dream of is spending tomorrow lounging around in their pajamas. Help your hosts get their morning off to the right start by giving them some fresh pastries to enjoy. Put them in a nice box and include a note that says they should be enjoyed later. Just be sure to pick a pastry that doesn’t need to be refrigerated, you don’t want the your gift to take up valuable fridge space.

Specialty Ingredients:
It’s no secret that hosting Thanksgiving dinner will put a dent into any pantry. Help your hosts replenish their supply by bringing them a specialty food item. Some bean-in vanilla extract or gourmet olive oil will definitely get put to good use. Or, if it’s more in line with your hosts’ tastes, feel free to bring a bottle of their favorite liquor to restock their bar.

A hostess gift doesn’t need to be expensive or flashy, just a small item to let the hosts know that you’re thankful to have been included. Think about what sort of gift you’d enjoy if you were giving the party. In these situations, a little thoughtfulness often goes a long way.
