Fireplace mantel, add some touches of Spring

For the first time, since I lived in Colorado have I owned a fireplace.  Living in Florida, fireplaces are popular, but I’ve never been fortunate to buy a house with one in it.  We finally have settled into our new house, and it has a wonderful mantel!  I love this post from A Soft Place to Land, on creating a spring mantel.

What I love the most is the idea that the mantel can be used year-round, even if the fireplace is seasonal.
