For the first time, since I lived in Colorado have I owned a fireplace. Living in Florida, fireplaces are popular, but I’ve never been fortunate to buy a house with one in it. We finally have settled into our new house, and it has a wonderful mantel! I love this post from A Soft Place to Land, on creating a spring mantel.
What I love the most is the idea that the mantel can be used year-round, even if the fireplace is seasonal.
The rustic stone is softened by the beautiful white decor
Add height with books, and greenery for texture and color
Seasonally, finishes can change from white, to metals and woods
