“Daddy, Daddy, Daddy…” Fathers are so influential and special to our lives. Dads are the ones who tell you to jump into their arms from a distance, they protected you for the monsters, they taught you how to fish, they wrestled with you, and they are the ones who treated mommy like the queen she truly is. Father’s Day is right around the corner and what better ways to show him how much you care then some classic Do-It-Yourself gifts. They will bring a heart warming smile to his face that will last a life time.

1. Give Dad What He Wants!
Like the entertainment books that some of our kids sell with the passes that gives us free food or discounts for amusement parks, take that idea and do it for Dad. Create a coupon booklet of free passes for dad on Father’s Day. These pass could range from no-yard work pass, remote for the day pass, free lunch date pass, or me-day pass. Put a pass for whatever you believe that would make him happy and want to enjoy himself.

Dad Pop Box Set

Just like having a soda bottle box set give your dad his favorite candy in a bottle box set. His very own Dad Pop Box Set. You would just need the candy and the bottles but if you prefer to decorate the bottles then purchase the decorations that you will be using for the bottles. This way his favorite candy will be sitting right next to him while he is watching the games on the television.

How about giving him something to remind him of how great of a dad he is that he will have to look at everyday! Like, creating a magnet board that has special sayings and pictures on it. Plus, he could also use it in his office or man-cave for reminders or memorabilia. Also, creating posters with “Dad is Great” or “I Love Daddy” will do the trick as well. You can use normal construction paper and poster board for the poster sayings. For the magnet board, magnet memo boards should be readily available at any craft store or office depot/max store and again you can design it however you would like to.

Ever thought about having your Father on the cover of a magazine? Well, now you can make that fantasy a reality by displaying your dad’s picture on the front of a magazine along with phrases to go on the sides of the image like a true magazine. With today’s technology anything is pretty much possible so you do have the ability to create the cover yourself!

For your Dad’s special day present him with a basket filled with all of the delicious snacks, drinks, socks, remote controls etc. for his relaxation. He could use it as a couch-potato basket for one of his lazy days that he used his me-time pass to get. Or, depending on what you put in there, he could just use it for around the home like an edible arrangement bouquet. The decision is up to you and what he prefers.
