When the whole family comes together on Thanksgiving, there is meant to be a happy and cheerful chaos. But, to keep that chaos – as fun as it can be – under some control for at least a few minutes, you can always give the kids something creative and entertaining to do.
Here are some easy, fun and all-about Thanksgiving kids’ craft ideas and activities for the little ones to do, but the grown-ups could also enjoy, if they want to take part.

Thanksgiving Kids’ Craft Ideas
Cute Pilgrims And Native Americans
To make adorable Pilgrims and Native Americans, you will need to provide the kids with some craft supplies, like scissors, cardboard tissue tubes, coloured paper, glue, and markers. If you want, you can make some of these in advance, so the kids will have an example, in order to create their own village people. Another way could be preparing in advance some of the items, like the hats and hair, so that the kids can arrange them however they want.

Flower Pot Turkey
The kids will have a lot of fun making this cute turkey on Thanksgiving! Just give each kid a brown flower pot, some googly eyes, coloured cardstock or felt, scissors and glue. If you want, you can pre-cut the decorations and have them ready for the kids to glue on the pots. As an addition, give the kids some markers, so they can give thanks, writing what they are most thankful for on the turkey’s feathers.

Pine Cone Turkeys
A simple, yet very fun, Thanksgiving craft idea is to make turkeys using pine cones. Each kid gets some pine cones, a lot of autumn coloured feathers, glue, googly eyes and orange felt beaks that you will have already cut out – or let the kids make them giving them scissors and orange felt.

Colouring Fun Table
Another entertaining idea is to cover the kids table with kraft paper or use printable Thanksgiving place mats. Arrange a variety of craft supplies – as a centerpiece or individual for each kid -, like stamps, markers, coloured pencils, crayons and stickers and let the children use their imagination!

Thanksgiving Turkey Hunt
This game may not be a quiet one, but it is just plain fun! Print or draw some turkeys on cardstock and cut them out. Next, hide them all over the areas where the kids are going to be, in the house or even outdoors, if the weather is nice. Whoever finds the most turkeys, wins. You can replace the turkeys with other relative items, such as coloured feathers or miniature pumpkins.
