Disclosure: This is a sponsored post by Gama Sonic and I was provided a solar lamp and compensation for my review. All opinions are strictly my own.
The nighttime curb appeal of our 1987 home has always lacked great ambiance. The main reason is because a solar lamp or solar lighting kits were always too dim to really project light at the front walkway. After a few years of trying different outdoor lighting, we decided to give up! I was excited to hear that Gama Sonic a leader in solar technology wanted to pair up with Stagetecture and offer me and you, a gorgeous solar lamp post to adorn your outdoor yard. Take a look at how easy it was to install and how it enhanced my home’s outdoor lighting.
Gama Sonic Solar Lamp #Giveaway: See How I Enhanced My Outdoor Lighting
How does Gama Sonic make a solar lamp brighter?
“Since 2001, Gama Sonic USA has focused on a single, sizable mission — to replace thousands of inefficient electrical and gas-powered lights with our patented durable, renewable solar outdoor light fixtures and lamp posts.”
“We began with our patented cone reflector to expand multidirectional light dispersal from the LEDs in our solar light fixtures. In addition, our EZ-Anchor system gives you the control to install a full-sized solar lamp post without tools or concrete.”
What makes Gama Sonic different than other solar light companies is their patented solar technology called: The GS Solar Light Bulb. With an incredible 10 year lifespan, you are assured it will last and it’s durable. The combination of their patented cone reflector and the idea of a traditional bulb it creates a bright and illuminated glow for your outdoor home, all run on solar energy!
Here are some of the features of their new solar light bulb technology:
See how easy it was to install the Solar Lighting Fixture:
The Royal Bulb Single Solar Lamp Post with the GS Solar Light Bulb GS-98B-S was easy to assemble within about 20 minutes and we didn’t have to affix it to concrete! This is one of Gama Sonic’s biggest advantages as almost all of their product lines are an EASY SOLAR DIY SOLUTION.
Before You Start Digging Call The Utility Company!
In Florida, we called “811” to set up an appointment for the local utilities to be marked in our yard. The cable, gas, phone and electric companies identified the areas where underground lines are. Luckily they were far away from where our lamp post was going to be placed.
How to Choose the Right Location for your Outdoor Lighting
Our outdoor home has a lot of trees and when you’re placing an outdoor solar lamp you want to ensure the fixture will get plenty of direct sunlight during the day. We chose this pocket of grass in front of our home. It is free from any tree canopies as well as sits next to the sidewalk and entry of our patio.
Assembling and Mounting Our Outdoor Lamp Post
The EZ-Anchor Kit GS-3 (sold separately from the lamp post) is screwed into your grass or firm dirt and then staked into the ground to keep it secure. If you’re going to place your solar lamp post on concrete or asphalt their mounting instructions and hardware are included with the lamp post.
The Solar Lamp Post Setup is as Easy as Screwing Pieces Together
Once we secured the GS-3 anchor kit we screwed the pieces together from the bottom up. I like how the metal finish of the lantern looks weathered, yet it feels very sturdy!
Finished with Installing a Solar Lamp Post
Once we assembled the lighting it was time to test it out!. The top of the light is equipped with the solar technology, and this is where we can access the switch that allows us to adjust the brightness of the light. “Low” setting will increase the lights duration throughout the night, and “High” setting will provide brighter illumination for a shorter period of time. Gama Sonic recommends letting it power up for 2 days in the sunlight to see the full results of the brightness.
I was amazed at the Brightness of the Lighting Fixture!
Here I show you how the solar lamp post looks from the daylight to dusk and then to evening. My neighbors said it looks like a real light without how much light it casts! We love it.

I think it would add yard appeal to our home and provide more lighting for our front yard.
What a neat product. I’d love to present this to my Mother-In-Law to light up her lawn. She’d be so very excited.
I like the look of the post and can always add more light to my front yard.
Very cool! I love that it’s solar and energy efficient. It would look great in my yard.
What a great contest, Ro! Solar Lighting is the way to go and this one looks so stylish!
I would love this lamp in my garden. Would be a beautiful addition.
I love it Laurie! It was so simple to assemble and it’s really bright at night 🙂
I was wanting to get a lamp post for my front lawn.Plus, sometimes I am out late hours because of work, it would be very nice to come home to light.
We have a darker space in one corner of our yard and I would love to have this solar lamp to brighten up the area.
This solar lamp looks amazing and would look lovely in my yard!
id love to own one cause there is no lighting and i need to brighten it up
id like to own one because it would spruce up the place and also make the place brighter
I absolutely love this idea of using the sun to create light for the night in your yard. What a great way to celebrate Earth Day! I think this would be great in our yard that we are trying to fix up. I grew up with a lamppost in my own yard as a child and this would be a great way to recall many nights outside enjoying the light.
I’d love a solar lamp in my front yard, we’ve had a few sketchy people move into the cul de sac and some extra lighting out front would be great.
I would like to add this to my mom’s yard as she is doing a beautiful outdoor God Bless America theme with a wall plaque for the troops, a 5ft statue of liberty and I think this would add some American charm to her yard. Plus, being elderly, she would have to remember to turn it on and off, and being cost-conscious, this is a perfect solution while adding to her design. Thank you.
It would add an extra bit of security in the yard while adding value to the property.
My yard is dark would be nice to have a solar light to brighten things up
