R- DIY Glow in the Dark Backyard Pathway

Outdoor pathways are not really like the yellow brick road was for Dorothy, but they definitely add some character and decorative value to your home. If nothing else, pathways serve as a really fancy entrance in case you or your children decide on a backyard wedding.
I was able to create an appealing stepping stone path at my home in Scottsdale with broom, rubber mallet, pry bar and other items I came across at home or found on cheap from thrift shops.
I basically found the best contractor Scottsdale had to offer called Raymac Inc.. I then managed to mix and match Raymac’s professional renovating services with her own creativity, creating a fine looking pathway and an alluring home from inside and outside.

It’s all a matter of deciding the kind of pathway you want (gravel, stone, wooden) and figuring out the way to go about it. If you have been wondering how to make a glow in the dark pathway, here’s how to do it the DIY way:
Make a Draft
The first step to take when making a stepping stone pathway, or any pathway, is to make a draft of the pathway. Figure out where you want it to begin from and where it should end.
You should also decide on how narrow or wide it should be depending on your backyard and the path to it. Once you’re done, make a list of the supplies you’ll need.
The list will essentially include such things as stepping stones, pebbles, glow in the dark paint, and of course some garden tools such as a shovel to help with any digging.
Lay Out the Stepping Stones
The next step then is to roughly lay out where you want the stepping stones to be. Once you’ve decided on a design (a single row of zigzagging stones or a double row of randomly placed ones) start to set them in.
Use your shovel to dig some space for the stones to be embedded and then press them in by applying pressure with the shovel. Repeat this step with each of the stones until they are all secure and well set into the ground.

Begin the Finishing Touches
Once the stepping stones are in place, the next step then is to bring the look of your pathway together. You can always leave it as it is and have the grass grow around the stepping stones to give off the look that the steeping stones were always there.
Alternatively, you can plant grass around it and use pebbles to outline the pathway to give it more a definition. However, in order for the glow factor, it would probably be best to add the pebbles around the stepping stones themselves. After doing so, try for a tighter grouping rather than a loose scattering of pebbles.
Add the Glow
Bring in the magic now by bringing out the cans of the glow in the dark paint. Pick out a few of the pebbles and paint them with the paint. Once you’re done painting and the pebbles are good and dry, line the stepping stones with the pebbles.
Try to embed the pebbles around the stepping stones as well rather than just placing them around the stone. Once you’re done with this step, you have a regular stepping stone pathway by the day and a glow in the dark one by night.
Making a pathway doesn’t require much more than having a vision of what you want it to be like. These DIY steps will help you create a terrific Glow in the Dark backyard pathway that you, your family and anyone visiting will find appealing.
