Halloween Decor: How to Bring Colors into Your Interiors

Halloween decor does not mean that your home has to be looked like an old fort infested with bloodthirsty vampires and weird-looking witches. You can still be subtle and elegant if you are thinking of updating your home with Halloween colors – black, white, and orange!

Black and white combined with cheerful orange and shades of wooden brown color will brighten up your Halloween decoration. Let’s take a look how to incorporate these colors into your interiors and create a scarily charming atmosphere:

Create Drama and Mystery with Black

Black creates a dramatic and mysterious aura that perfectly catches the spirit of Halloween. To create a focal point, decorate an entire room with black color! It will create a nice contrast if you choose to use light and fun colors in other rooms of your home.

Keep in mind that an entire black room should have plenty of lighting. Colorful furniture pieces, artworks, or a fireplace in that room will also create a nice contrast with the black theme.

Play with Orange and Black Accents

A combination of black and orange colors looks energetic and inviting. However, both are strong colors and using them as a base can seem too powerful. So, you can keep gray or brown as the base color and use orange and black as accent colors. The entire color palette will blend easily with each other, create a harmonious look, and exude and a positive energy.

Choose a Black & White Vintage Style

If you want your Halloween decor to resemble a beautiful vintage style, keep the black and white color scheme. Creative wall decor, candle holders, lamp shades, Halloween accessories like pumpkins, spiders, owls, witch hats, etc., party foods, and other things in black and white colors are excellent Halloween decorations. Add a bit of fun with accents in orange, brown, red, or green color.

The combination of these colors into the Halloween decor of your home will create a balanced and harmonious look. The mysterious black will be toned down with the use of elegant white while orange will feel warm and cheerful.
