The color palette

Set the stage for your tropical style bathroom by selecting an appropriate color scheme. For an invigorating experience opt for bright colors like vibrant orange, teal, and salmon. Whereas, for a more subtle look, stick to a color palette that reflects light tones such as sand, light blue or green. Whatever you choose, make sure to incorporate the hues into the paint, tiles, and other accessories.

There is plenty of sunlight in the tropics, so should be the case in your tropical themed bathroom. If your space has windows, you are half ready for the theme already.  Cover them with tropical inspired curtains, plantation shutters or bamboo blinds. This will provide the required privacy while allowing the light to come in. In case, there are no windows, consider illuminating the area with artificial lights such as recessed lighting or wall scones with bamboo shades.

Tropical themed accessories

Decorative accessories are critical to pull any theme together. In fact, you can completely update the look of an area simply by switching or adding the accessories. Begin with a woven fabric shower curtain and a sea grass or a jute rug. You will be amazed to see how these simple and inexpensive items can make a huge impact. Be sure to incorporate some greenery like a bamboo plant in a big urn. Also, fill glass bowls and vases with sea glass and sea shells.
