I love lighting! I’ve had several posts about bringing natural light into your home, to kid’s lighting in their rooms.  Today, I thought I’d focus on floor lamps.  Not just any kind of floor lamps – modern lamps.  These inspiration pieces aren’t just for show, but they look gorgeous if you never turn them on!  Take a look at these and let me know which one is your favorite!

The added advantage of floor lamps is that you can put them almost anywhere! They are portable, but even better they can turn a chair into a reading ‘corner’ in an instant.

Want to add an element of artistic surprise to your room? Look for floor lamps that aren’t cookie cutter, and make you have to take a double take when you enter the room.

Floor lamps don’t only have to be down lights – use them to cast ambient lighting as well. Next to a  couch is perfect for multiple people to take advantage of additional lighting. Wouldn’t this make a great conversation piece?
