However, if your space seems a bit intimate then perhaps investing in creating more space to your kitchen pantry might be a good idea. Here are ideas to help bring more kitchen organization to your kitchen pantry despite what condition it may be in.

Open up the Pantry
One great way to add open space to your pantry is to take the doors off of the hinges or replace the swinging doors with sliding ones. Whenever you have a swinging door in your home, it will take up space (why a single door typically swings to the nearest wall). So lose this issue and open up your kitchen pantry or substitute the swinging or bi-fold doors with sliding ones instead. Not only will it will it make the space more efficient but it also add a modern look to the pantry.

Clean Out and Organize
Just like with most storage closets, the pantry can be the dumping ground for any and everything. So go old school and clean it out. Now when cleaning it out for your kitchen organization, just remove certain items that may work better in areas that they are designated for. Such as storage bins, misc. boxes, any colossal or bulky items, etc. Try setting these items in other areas that they will to belong and not be an inconvenience within the space. Also, have a system that works for you such as dry foods on one end or things that can hang-create hooks for them to hang on, etc.

Add In and Accentuate
If the shelving within your pantry seems to be too cramped or too spaced in then reposition them or better yet create more. You can always remove the shelves that occupy your pantry and set in new ones that create more space between each other or go deeper than the previous ones.Or you can use the cabinet space within your home and convert them into a pantry area with slide out drawers that have racks. Even, if you would like you can redesign your pantry using some of the wall space for items that can hang or even installing small shelving on the back of the doors for smaller items.
The kitchen pantry can seem insignificant but it is used daily by everyone so make it as pleasing and functional as possible. It truly won’t take a lot of effort and the results will be rewarding. So go over the list above and see how they work out for you and your kitchen organization!
