Kitchen Pantry Organization: How to Make them Functional

Choose an Organizing Plan
Make a layout on paper of your pantry. With a pencil, assign a place for everything you need to store in your pantry. You can use different organization techniques depending on your needs and preferences. For example, one way is to organize your items by dry food, fresh food, appliances and tableware.
Another way is to organize your food by taste; one shelf for sweet foods, one for salty, one for sauces, etc.
Yet another idea is to organize your supplies by meals; a space for your breakfast food and appliances, a space for lunch items, one for dinner supplies and one for snacks.
Finally, to get a sleeker look, you can organize your supplies by packaging; cans on one shelf, boxes arranged by size on another, bottles on a third and so on.

Keep an Eye on the Pantry’s Content
For kitchen pantry organization, a great way to go is to know what you have in your pantry. To achieve that, a clever idea is to have a chalkboard or other notice-board handy. There you can write your contents or what you’re running short on. This will minimize spoiling of food and buying stuff you don’t need, both of which will save valuable resources.

Make the Most Out of Shelf-Space
Another great way to maximize your space usage is putting some lazy Susans on the shelves, or using a shelf-in-a-shelf solution, like double shelves and tiered shelves.
