Painting is one of the three easiest solutions to change your decor. Want to know the other two? Read our post on decorating on a small budget.
You’re saying, ” … give me some pointers already!” Alright, I’ve compiled some great resources, so you can start painting by this weekend!
Painting Basics:
Making it Lovely has a thorough guide to painting. From prep work and tools, to choosing the right paint color. This is worth printing, and running to your home improvement store.
More Advanced:
So you’re not quite the novice, but not an expert? How about trying your hand at paint effects? Martha Stewart has an article on painting effects on furniture and using glazes to achieve special effects.
“I’ve got this!”:
So you’ve gotten down the basics, and the more advanced? How about using templates? Templates are a great way to add a repeating pattern on a wall, and also had custom features to personalize it. DIY network has an article on the supplies, and tips you need to use templates.
What about a painting trip to ITALY?!
Yeah! Now I got your attention. Where do you sign up? Modello Designs, has decorative masking patterns. They are going on two painting trips this year! One to Italy, and one to Morocco! If you go, please take me!
