Pet DIY: How to Make a Custom Pet Dining Station

Entry #2493, June 4, 2013

How do you reward your pet after a relaxing play or successful routine? Of course, say something good and offer a dog food – these should do the trick! But to make it more rewarding, make a dog feeding station. This project is surely a nice treat to your pet.

A dog feeding station will keep your pet’s food sanitize. It will also avoid your dog’s area from getting messy. The customized feeding station project is easy to make and materials can be readily available at home. So you don’t have any reason to skip doing it.

Procedure

  1. Before you start, measure the leg of your dog from his paw to his withers. Using a jigsaw, cut the stool accordingly.
  2. Sketch two circles using a compass on the stool. Then, drill a small hole near the border of the circle. This will be used to insert the blade of your ripsaw and make two holes.
  3. Paint the wooden stool and let it dry for a few hours. Attached the skid protector to each foot of the stool.
  4. After the drying the paint, use your creativity to design the stool. Play with your pasteboard or cover stock to work on your design. You can have the name of your dog displayed or something to enhance the looks. Also, you can work with the stencil brush to add artistic looks on the feeding station.

You now have a neat and functional dog feeding station at home! It’s a quick and easy project that you can make in just a few hours. See how your pets and you love it!
