Think Outdoors But Be Time Conscience
If you have a backyard or a front porch to your access then that is where you should set up the party. Outdoors will provide a perfect backdrop for the colorful patriotic decor that you will set up for the day. But there is something you cannot miss here. 4th of July is going to be peak summers and afternoon time is going to be really hot. So either you arrange for a cooling system, or throw a poolside party, or find a shady spot in your garden or just begin early and wind up before the sun becomes intolerable.
Thoughts On The Menu
You being the host will be busy making sure that everyone around is comfortable and enjoying, but it shouldn’t be the case that you are missing from the party scene for long intervals of time just because you are tossing up a delicious menu. Think smart, act wise and choose either of the two options. Go for a make ahead menu or decide it to be a purely barbecue event. Both ways you will be a part of the crowd, enjoying the festivities and not toiling alone in your kitchen. Also keep in mind that the food thus prepared shouldn’t be messy and complex to serve and eat. Its a good idea to stick to a menu where preparations can be picked up by a toothpick and go straight into the mouth.

Its All Incomplete Without The Decorations
Whats a party, especially a 4th of July brunch party without any party decorations. Run patriotic themed table runners on your outdoor table, use flags to make interesting 4th of July table centerpieces, place red, blue and white paper napkins, cutlery, paper plates etc on the layout table. Besides have the kids cut out stars out of craft paper and hang them on tree branches. You can even use themed flowers to adorn your decor efforts.

Have Your Camera Batteries Recharged
Yes, we have all been in that ‘oops’ moment when the camera ditched us and we relied on our phones to do the needful. But with so much effort gone into the party planning wouldn’t you want to capture really good pictures. Have your camera batteries charged beforehand and have a Photo Booth ready to capture your guests and the party mood.
Arrange For Simple Fun Games
Parties are so much fun with games and prizes. Arrange for simple garden games like treasure hunt or musical chairs, something that everyone can participate in. You can even go in for question answer games and bestow the winners with simple, personalized home made goodies.
