Quick Dinner: Southern Breaded Pork Chops Recipe
Sometimes, it’s nice to plan a menu in advance and take out a lot of time cooking an extra special dinner for your family. Whereas, other times, especially after a long hectic work day, the only thing that sounds feasible is a recipe that’s both quick and easy to prepare. For nights like those, we point you a quick dinner recipe that can be pulled off in 20 minutes or less. We call it breaded pork chops.
Quick Dinner: Southern Breaded Pork Chops

Total time: 20 minutes
Yields: 6 servings
Ingredients
1 slightly beaten egg
½ cup milk
1-½ cups saltine or Ritz crackers, crushed
6 pork loin chops, boneless
¼ cup canola cooking oil
Procedure
Put cracker crumbs in a shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, mix milk and egg. Dip each pork in milk mixture, then coat with cracker crumbs. Pat to make a thick coating.
Put oil in a large frying pan, and cook chops for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Let it stand for 4-5 minutes before serving.
These traditional pork chops make an impressive, quick and healthy dinner. The breading makes them crispy from outside and tender and juicy from inside. You can play with the flavor by adding other seasonings and herbs to the coating.
