Relaxing Berry & Blood Orange Sangria

Ingredients:

4 blood oranges

12 ounces of strawberries, sliced

8 fresh raspberries

1 apple cored and diced

1 lemon sliced

1 lime sliced

2 (750ML) bottles of pinot grigio

1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda

1/2 cup brandy

 

1/2 cup sugar for glass rims

Fresh mint and fruit to garnish

Directions:

1. In a large pitcher (preferably a glass pitcher. Berries may stain a plastic pitcher), Combine all ingredients except club soda.

2.Cover tightly and refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours – overnight for a stronger sangria with plenty of berry flavors!

3. Preparing the glasses: Zest a blood orange and combine it with the sugar in a small bowl. Take the lemon and run it along the rim of the glasses. Then turn each glass over into the sugar to coat the rims generously.

4. Pour 3/4 cup of sangria and 1/4 club soda into each glass with a few ice cubes and of course the fruit. Use fruit as a garnish and fresh mint.

Serve immediately and let the party begin!
