Between the media, real estate statistics, and general neighborhood gossip, we can name reasons why the home selling market can be a scary place. Although, for every reason not to sell… Stagetecture can give you 3 reasons why it’s the best time to buy or sell a home.
1.) “It’s a buyer’s market”: Throughout the last couple of years its been the buzz phrase to say in the real estate market. What does it actually mean to you as a home seller or home buyer?
- Home Seller: The buyer’s market means you’re competing amongst a larger pool of other
home sellers to appeal to home buyers. This shouldn’t be discouraging, take it as a challenge. Update your home, fix up the curb appeal, de-clutter, and make your home rise to the top. In this market, yes there is more competition, but the prize is much sweeter when it sells!
Home Buyer: The buyer’s market to you means you have the pick of the crop to find the home you want! There is resale inventory galore, and builder’s are offering incentives to move into their brand new homes. Think of it as Christmas… for finding a home!
2.) Incentives: From the government’s first time home buyer, and current home seller
credits to low interest rates, the incentives are great. Developer’s are offering cash to pay towards your closing costs, or to add upgrades to your home. Some home seller’s are offering to pay more of your closing costs, first year home warranty’s and giving away electronics!
3.) You deserve it!: The housing market crisis has directly or indirectly affected everyone. Although, just like all negative times in America’s history, there is an upside. Home buyers may be able to afford and get more house than 2 years ago. For renter’s who are contemplating taking the first step, the fact that you don’t have to sell to buy, is gold. Think about it, home ownership is in your grasp and those who act now will get rewarded!
