Get The Desk Organized

This is where most commotion begins. If only our kids desks were organized. Sort out your children’s desk, throw away unwanted papers and file the ones you might need. Demarcate areas for files, books and stationery. Try to make these interesting and attractive so that your kids are inspired to take care of their stuff themselves. So the simple mantra here is to sort, discard and organize!

Get The Wardrobe Ready

Mornings are fearsome because kids usually stand in front of disorganized wardrobes and can’t find a thing to wear to school. Organize the wardrobe to make life easier. There are a plenty of ways to do that. If you use  a  Chester to store their clothes, have them marked in a fun way. For instance you could write ‘socks and handkerchiefs’ on one chester, ’T-shirts’ on the other, ‘vests and undergarments’ on the third one and so forth. Involve your child in painting these labels and your kids will take care of the rest. If you have a regular cupboard to store their clothes you can color code the wardrobe. Like you can sort the reds to one end, greens next, yellows to follow and so forth. Not only do these efforts yield a neat looking storage but you also teach your kids to take care of their belongings.

Sort The Toys

Toys are the messiest amongst all of the kids stuff. Take time this vacation to make semi open shelves where children can put their toys themselves. Encourage them to clean up after playtime. That ways if they learn and get used to clean spaces, they will make an endeavor to keep their spaces clean. Holidays is a good time to introduce these habits in a fun way.

Have The Lunch Stuff Ready

It would be rather helpful for the moms if this part was organized well. If you do need to purchase a new lunch box, water bottle ,etc. do it before hand and have it washed and dried. Also sometimes moms get some bright ideas regarding back to school lunches but are not ready with the stuff , so it would be great to plan ahead. It is also helpful to prepare a weekly menu so that you don’t have to waste the precious morning hours in thinking what to cook. Another suggestion is to do the prep work the night before so that you can save time in the mornings.
