Directions
- Wash the potatoes well and bring them to a boil in salted water. Reduce the heat and let the potatoes simmer, until they are tender (use a fork to check). This should take about 10-14 minutes, depending on the potatoes size.
- Once done, drain the potatoes and rinse them well under cold water.
- Take a skewer (you can use wooden ones or metal ones, just soak wooden skewers into water before using them to avoid burning them) and thread the potatoes, the corn pieces, andouille sausage pieces and shrimps alternately onto it.
- Continue the same routine until all ingredients are used. You should have at least four kebabs with the ingredients.
- Take a small bowl and mix together the seasoning, the melted butter and the hot pepper sauce.
- Heat a grill to medium – high and lightly oil the hot grill. Grill the shrimp-boil kebabs, while turning and brushing them with the butter mixture from time to time, for about 8 minutes or until all ingredients are tender and are beginning to char.
You can add all kinds of vegetables to add flavor and color to the kebabs, but one of the best additions is some red or green bell peppers. Also, adding a little minced garlic into the butter mixture can give this Summer Dinner a wonderful twist. Serve these with lemon wedges and green salad to round up the dish and you will have everything you need for a wonderful dish. There is nothing better than to have a few good friends over to celebrate summer with wonderful company and great food.
