Your guests have arrived and they are starting to get anxious and wondering what your festive menu looks and tastes like, so they slowly move towards your beautiful decorated Thanksgiving table. To avoid any confusion, placement cards are a great idea. That way, everybody knows where to sit, and you can arrange some clever mix of your guests, either putting together persons that will have a lot of common things to talk about, or to keep apart people who don’t enjoy each other’s company.

DIY Easy Thanksgiving Placement Cards
Rosemary wreath
With just some rosemary and floral wire, you can craft amazing rosemary wreaths to hold the name card banner. Placed on a linen napkin, it will look very sophisticated.

Simple fruit placement card
This one is straight forward and very easy to make. Take a nice seasonal fruit, like an apple or a pear, and wrap around it some cord. Insert a nice, simple name card and there you have it! A nice, simple Thanksgiving placement card.
Mini pumpkin placement card
Using some cute mini pumpkins with intact stems, some cut out leafs and a hand – made name banner, you can arrange a wonderful little placement card. This is a great idea, especially if your whole decoration has the pumpkin as the key-object.

Filled jar placement card
A really simple and smart idea is to use some nice jars, fill them with nuts in accordance to the Thanksgiving spirit and decorate the jar lid with some linen. Tie the linen with some nice twine. Next, make a name tag out of kraft paper and glue it on top of the jar. The jars would make an ideal favor for your guests to bring back home.

The placement cards should look very inviting and cozy, without looking overdone. Use simple, seasonal items and craft supplies, like twine and kraft paper. Also, the name tags can be easily made to look like banners or leafs and if your handwriting is not that stunning don’t worry! Thankfully, you can always use a printer!
The important thing to keep in mind is to choose placement cards that are in accordance to the rest of your DIY Thanksgiving décor of your home and table, the centerpiece and the tableware you use. That way, you will have a complete themed decoration that will leave your guests with the best impression for the whole Thanksgiving Day.
