Instructions
Take one large leaf and lay it upside down (the veins should meet the concrete). Lay it on a piece of cardboard. Optional: spray a little cooking spray onto the leaf for an easier release later on.
Prepare the concrete. Wearing the rubber gloves and using the trowel, apply a thick, even layer of concrete onto the leaf, taking care not to get over the edges.
Let the concrete dry until it is dry to the touch (but not completely dry), turn it around and remove the leaf. Let the stone down with the veins on top. Now let it cure for several days or as long as the concrete’s instructions suggest. If you want, you can now paint it and/or seal it.
To install the stepping stones, first decide of the path. With a putty knife, dig some medium depth holes roughly shaped like the stone you want to install. Lay the dried and cured stepping stone into the hole and use the remaining soil to close any gaps or to adjust the depth of the hole.
