Directions

1. To make these Italian pressed sandwiches is quite simple. Cut the loaf in half lengthwise. Scoop some of the bread out if needed. Assemble all the ingredients layer by layer, starting with the pesto.

2. Once you have finished assembling the ingredients, wrap the whole loaf tightly with some plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator overnight. You can apply some weight on top of the loaf to help compress the sandwich.

3. Take the loaf out the next day and cut it into smaller sandwiches. Wrap them individually and your Italian bread sandwiches are ready!

This easy recipe is highly adjustable and you can use any ingredients you like. Why not try some olive salad instead of the pesto, other vegetables like zucchini or roasted red peppers and different cheeses or salami? Just make sure to always use high quality ingredients to make the best Italian Pressed Sandwiches. This easy recipe is the perfect food to take to work or on a trip, too!
