Gardening – skip the ground, use containers

Feature #37, April 7, 2010

Last week I had a post on creating curb appeal without the ‘curb’, by using window boxes and hanging baskets. Gardening is a topic that most of us think we need to get down in the ground, and plant 50 rows of lush flowers and vegetables.  While that sounds heavenly, how about using containers for gardens?

Apartment Therapy has a post featuring a book review on Succulent Container Gardens.

Look at the variety of ways these flowers are displayed… who needs the ground!?

Placed on a patio, front entrance, or around the house.. perfect

Tip:  Choose planters/containers first, to make sure the flowers you choose will fit your decor, and budget!
