Guest Blogger: 5 Lavish Bathroom Remodeling Trends

Guest Blogger #958, Entry #2416, May 14, 2013

When it comes to the home, we all want to be comfortable and live in the lap of luxury. One of the most relaxing rooms in the home is the bathroom. The bathroom can be an oasis after a rough day or a quiet getaway from the daily family activities. To have a relaxing atmosphere in the bathroom, many home owners are starting to remodel their existing washrooms with lavish updates and improvements. A little can go a long way in a bathroom and home owners are finding that certain updates and remodeling trends are just what is needed to feel luxurious. Below are a few examples of the latest lavish bathroom remodel trends.

Fireplace

One option that is quickly becoming a popular option in bathrooms around the world is a fireplace. From a small cozy fireplace to a completely see-through install, many home owners are opting for a fireplace in the bathroom to create a cozier and more luxurious experience. Imagine soaking in a warm bath while listening to the crackling of the fire. A fireplace not only provides a relaxing sound but also mood lighting and warmth. This addition gives an added sense of luxurious and greatly updates the bathroom space.

Shower Rooms

Another option that is becoming quite common is a separate shower room. Most bathrooms have a shower area inside the bathtub and a more luxurious option is to have a separate shower room. Exquisite shower rooms can be created in 10 easy ways, such as tiles and stone can be used to create a unique shower room in your home so that you can step inside a magnificent space and be free of confined shower stall walls. A shower room has great potential in any home and can make use of multiple shower heads as well as room for more than one person! Entertainment

We all like to be entertained and why should this stop while being in the bathroom? Another lavish addition to the bathroom is entertainment options. Home owners have many options in this category from flat screen televisions to music systems and more. Who wouldn’t enjoy a nice hot bath while watching their favorite television show?

In the past, the favorite bathtub option was a Jacuzzi or jetted tub. In today’s market, soaking tubs and steam baths have taken their place. This new option transforms the bathroom space with a spa-like feel and the bathroom instantly becomes a special retreat for the home owner. Home owners will find they have many options in this area and can customize the tub option to meet specific comfort needs.

Heated Floors

In most every bathroom, the flooring is a hard material, either stone, tile or vinyl. These materials are best for a bathroom because they are resistant to water. However, these materials can also become quite cold on bare feet in the early morning hours! One lavish option that home owners can add to the bathroom space is heated flooring. With heated flooring, home owners will be able to have warm floors whenever they like! Radiant heating can be installed under the bathroom flooring to provide the added warmth to add to the luxurious feel in your bathroom.

One or all of these changes can be made to give you a wonderful new bathroom space to enjoy every day! Take the time to determine which changes are affordable to you and do not be afraid to be creative! Once the remodeling process is complete, you will reap the benefits of an enjoyable space!
