Warming Your Home This Winter with a Combination Boiler

Guest Blogger #790, Entry #1875, November 28, 2012

In the UK the Surviving Winter campaign is running for the second year in a row to help older people who struggle with energy bills during the coldest season of the year. The Centre for Sustainable Energy has also taken steps to help more than 1,500 people survive winter by giving helpful advice on keeping homes warm at an affordable price. In the USA a rise in the use of heating fuels is predicted for 2013 so it is best for everyone to learn to stay warm in the cold.

It’s essential to insulate your home properly and invest in high quality boilers that work efficiently as a boiler can cost you more than it needs if not working well. Here are a few more reasons to opt for combination boilers this winter.

1. Quality combi boilers featuring thermostats and heating controls can save considerable money as you can use the boiler only when you need it. It pays dividends to use heating controls.

2. Combi boilers are the most efficient heating option. They are designed to use less fuel and generate more heat. Use maintenance services if required to make sure your boiler works well.

3. Combi boilers provide a combination of central heating and hot water, which is great for the average family home.

4. Combi boilers deliver instant hot water supply, which is very convenient as you don’t have to store water in a separate cylinder all the time.

5. These boilers are compact – you can forget about a hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard and a cold water tank in the loft.

6. Cutting-edge combi boilers come with a range of new features including frost thermostats, seasonality valves, LCD displays on control panels, detailed fault codes, easy-access NTCs on the front of pipes, clip-on DHW temperature sensors and others.

7. They are second to none in terms of operation, installation, performance and economy.

8. New combination boiler models are designed for easy operation, servicing and maintenance due to LCD control panels that provide detailed heating and hot water information.

9. Storage combi boilers are irreplaceable in large properties with several bathrooms. Thanks to large capacity built-in storage cylinders, they deliver hot water at a flow rate of 18 litres per minute.

Winter doesn’t have to be a dangerous time for the elders if the right equipment is installed and used properly. People all over the world are realizing that it’s best to invest into the prevention of cold related death than to deal with the consequences.
