How to Freshen Up your Front Entry this Summer

Entry #1271 June 11, 2012

Now that the summer is here, who doesn’t want to freshen up their front entry?  Whether you are looking to add more color or you just want a new look, summer is the best time to breathe new life into your entry. Your front entry is what first greets guests and it should be a positive reflection of the rest of your home. Your front entry can be exterior or interior depending on your home. Here are tips to focus on your exterior entry.

The desire to enhance the looks of your façade can benefit your home in many ways. One of these is that you gain positive impressions and appreciations from your guests and people who take a look at your home outside. To help you in this task, consider the following ideas:

Enhance your foyer

A foyer serves as an initial introduction to the theme of your home. It is where your guest can have an idea on what to expect more in your home. Having an attractive foyer will certainly provide a positive impression that will surely last. You can place flower pots or hanging plants to make it an extension of the outside garden. You may add paintings and other artworks on the wall.

Repainting can freshen up the facade

There can be no better and quicker way to effectively enhance your front entry than repainting it with similar or different color. Depending on your scheme or theme at home, repainting can best provide a new look in your foyer, hallway or any part of your front entry. It will also clean up the stains and cracks brought about by time and weather conditions.

Have an inviting front door

The first thing to greet your guests is your door. A well-designed door will definitely give your home a great look from the street and when your guests enter your home.  There are several front doors that are wonderfully done and elegant at a reasonable price. When choosing a front door don’t just look at its aesthetics. Your front door should also be considered for safety and security. Choose door numbers, door hardware, and even add a new doorbell for a unified and fresh look.
