Kids Snacks: Chocolate Pretzels thanksgiving kids snack chocolate pretzels

Kids Snacks Ingredients

  • 12 round cookies covered with fudge
  • 12 pieces of candy corn
  • 24 candy eyeballs
  • 36 pretzels covered with chocolate
  • ⅓ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ tbsp of vegetable oil

Kids Snacks Directions:

  1. Put the chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat them for about 30 seconds until the chocolate chips melt. If not melted, heat for 30 more seconds.
  2. Spread the hot chocolate on the back of the cookies. Attach 3 pretzels to each cookie and place them in a fan-like pattern so they look like feathers.
  3. Dip the candy corn and eyeballs in the hot chocolate and stick them on the front part of the cookies to make the noses and eyes.
  4. Place the finished turkey pretzels on a plate and put it in the refrigerator. Leave to cool for an hour then serve.

Milk and cookies may be all-time favorites, but kids can only take them for so long. Children need snacks that are as adventurous and interesting as they are. Chocolate turkey pretzels fit the bill. They are fun to make and have interesting shapes every kid will love. Don’t be surprised if your kids want to make them again after thanksgiving. In fact, the recipe may become one of the most prominent in your home. You can give it a small twist to produce a different outcome each time.
