Preparation

  1. Set the slow cooker to low heat.
  2. Except the pork roast, add all the ingredients and stir with a ladle until everything mixed together. Cook this mixture for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Add the roast to the slow cooker. Cover and cook for 5 to 6 hours on high heat until it shreds easily with a fork. You can keep the heat on low to make the roast tastier. It will be better if you put the roast in the slow cooker with fat side up, allowing it to drip down into the meat while it cooks.
  4. Remove the roast from the slow cooker and shred it. Then, put the shredded meat again in the slow cooker and stir them into the juices.
  5. Put a frying pan over medium heat. Spread butter into the inner side of the halved buns and toast them until golden brown with butter side down.
  6. Put the shredded pork into the toasted buns and serve!

Tips

  1. You can leave out the oil, as it will not make a huge difference in taste. You can also skip the thyme if you do not like its smell.
  2. Add a few cinnamon sticks if you love the flavor. It will certainly increase the taste of the dish and add a depth of flavor.
  3. The leftover can be kept in refrigerator. The taste will still be good after freezing.
The dish will be tastier if you cook it for more hours.
