Sub-Zero/Wolf – Designer Training – Final Day

Entry #286, September 30, 2010

Our final day of our Sub-Zero/Wolf Designer Training Day was full once again.  We started  off the day learning about the Wolf brand line of cooking appliances. From cook tops, fume hoods, ovens, warming drawers and much more! We walked through the manufacturing facility and saw each step from beginning to end.

Today we made our own lunches! One of the many exciting points of the day was making our own lunch in the beautiful demonstration kitchens.  Recipes included Thai chili pizza, bread pudding, chicken fried rice, and a host of others we had to choose from.  My group was able to use the induction cook top and convection wall oven.

After eating lunch we were fortunate to hear Jamie Drake, famous interior designer for Madonna and Mayor Bloomberg of New York, to speak to us.

It was an honor to listen to Jamie about his design philosophies, designing the dining room in the Bakke Center, and judging the past Sub-Zero/Wolf design competitions.

What can I say? I had a completely educational, fun, and over indulgent time here in Madison, Wisconsin. The Bakke Center and plant tours were phenomenal and the warm hospitality of the Sub-Zero/Wolf staff made the experience educational and enjoyable. From the delectable foods to the beautifully appointed grounds, I thank Sub-Zero/Wolf for inviting me to the Designers Training 2010.
