Cool Color911 App – Design Tool Color Inspiration at your Fingertips

I am Amy Wax and I created the Color911 app. I am an artist, a mom, and experienced color consultant. I authored 2 best selling books on color, have received awards for my color expertise, and served as Past President of an organization of professional Color Consultants in North America.

I have also owned my own color/design company for many years and work with clients nationwide.

Through my work I realized that people need color help in ways they aren’t even aware of which is why I created the Color911 app. Anyone from homeowner to DIYer to design professional, anyone who gets dressed in the morning or ever goes shopping, could really benefit from using Color911. Many people can choose color on their own, but the Color911 app does so much more than that.

1. What it does: Color911 is easy to use from start to finish. You can create your own colors, take a photo and retrieve colors from that photo, use the pre-made color themes for inspiration, save your color into palettes, and there’s more. Everything is designed with visual cues so it is ready to go, no “learning” time required.
2. Tell me more: You can save your palettes to a list, take notes and attach them to any palette you create. You can also store your palettes in folders and take notes in your folders. Create and store any color ideas, plans you have for your self, for a client, or a future color/design idea you might have. You can also share your colors through social media, it’s great for planning events.
3. A great feature: One of the features that I love the best is the ability to take an image (from your gallery or by taking the photo), and pull colors out of it to save. Photograph a rug, pull the colors out so you can buy something to match without taking the rug with you. Photograph an outfit you have or want to buy, save the colors and find something to match at a later time. I photographed a beautiful necklace I got as a gift saved the colors and bought earrings to match. Take any photo in decent light, and the possibilities are endless.
4. Color inspiration: Many times we don’t know where to start when we are planning our colors for our wardrobe or for decorating. Within the app are 70+ pre-made color themes. Look at any color theme easily for inspiration.  Have an item and don’t’ know what colors to put with it, check the themes for ideas. It’s instant color help at your fingertips.
