Remember when wallpaper was boring and bland, or over-the-top right when you walked in the room? I’ve come across some great solutions for adding some pizazz to your walls. From wall stickers to wall paper, still use the paint, but think about accent walls in these fun ways!
Wall stickers:
The only wall stickers that I’ve seen are the one’s my teenage sons want of NFL and NBA players that are life-size in their room. Freshome has an article on some modern, and fun wall stickers to add to your decor.
Wallpaper:
Decor 8, has an article on a Turkish wallpaper company, Studio Nommo. Check out some of their great styles below. Definitely not the old wallpaper that I remember.
This one is the coolest… it looks like a chalkboard! Remember our post about chalkboards?
3D Images:
What about this 3D wallpaper from Hanna Nyman, featured on sfgirlbybay blog site.
Tip:
Wallpaper is trickier to hang than painting a wall. If you’re not handy with a wallpaper brush, consider hiring a professional. Matching up patterns, and knowing how many rolls to buy can be challenging. Hey, if you like a challenge, go do it up!

Good post!
I am a professional wallpaper installer, and I try hard to let people know that wallpaper is not “out” – it’s just DIFFERENT. These days, bold colors and powerful graphics are all over the sample books, along with textures like grasscloth, faux alligator or ostrich skin, and much more!
Thank you for helping to spread the word.

I’ve been dying to see the wall stickers in person.
I think I would prefer something that appears to be painted rather than obviously being a sticker? Maybe it’s time to think out of the box.
If they look as good as they do in pictures, I’d love to offer them to my clients.
Thanks for sharing these!
