Easy Meal: Savory Caprese Burger Recipe

Don’t we all love the idea of an Easy Meal ? Burgers sure fit the bill! Burgers, are that kind of a food that one can just grab in their hand and enjoy even while attending to other tasks of importance. Whether you are getting late for work, want a quick bite in the evening or want your children to eat a pack down food by themselves, burgers prove to be superstars. Our superstar today is the savory Caprese Burger. Caprese Burger is that one Easy Meal that you can cook in little time, without losing on the essential flavors.

Easy Meal: Savory Caprese Burger

Serves-4

Ingredients

4 hamburger buns

4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 clove minced garlic

1/4 tsp fresh black pepper

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tomato sliced (4 slices of tomato)

1 pound lean ground beef

1 tbsp tomato paste

salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. In a glass bowl whisk in oil, pepper, balsamic vinegar and salt.
2. Pour the mixture over tomato slices and keep the slices away to marinate.
3. Pre heat your outdoor grill and set it to a medium-high heat. Slightly brush the grate with oil.
4. Mix beef, parmesan cheese, tomato paste, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
5. Make four equal sized patty cakes out of the beef mixture.
6. Cook the patties on the grill. It should take about 4 to 5 mins per side if you want it cooked really well.
7. Take one split burger bun. On the lower half place a cooked beef patty. Put some mozzarella cheese on the patty and let the cheese melt.
8. On the top of cheese add a slice of marinated tomato and place a basil leaf over it.
9. Top it with the other half of the bun and repeat 7,8 &9 for the other buns too.
10. Serve with french fries and your favorite cold drinks.

Caprese Burger is an Easy Meal that is filling and tasty. If you are not a big fan of beef you could use chicken. The flavors would differ, nonetheless chicken patties would be mouthwatering too.
