Home Depot, one of the nation’s largest home improvement stores isn’t just giving “how-to” clinics, they’re also
giving back to the community. Retool your School is an improvement grant that goes to campus improvements on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s).
“America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities have given so much to so many. Now, The Home Depot wants to show its gratitude by giving something back.
Now, vote your favorite school to receive an improvement grant from The Home Depot. Then buy a special edition Gift Card that help support the program, with $150,000 in grants to upgrade HBCU campuses.
Whether you’re an alumnus, a family member, or just a fan of these valued institutions, this funding can help create a better environment in which students can learn, compete, and flourish.
Vote now for the school whose project you think most deserves the funding. On June 15th, 11 schools will be announced, and will see their dream projects come to life.” – The Home Depot
HBCU’s have always been plagued with financial woes and improvements to their campuses fell at the bottom of
the priority list. What a great way to build school camaraderie and have 11 schools win campus improvement projects that will be remembered for eternity.
My alma mater – Tuskegee University is in the running for this wonderful program. Please take a few minutes and vote for them, or the HBCU of your choice. When else can you say you helped a university get a $150,000 grant?!!

My personal gratitude goes to The Home Depot for recognizing the need for campus improvements to HBCU’s. What a great way to ensure our beloved campuses will be enjoyed for years and years.
