Organization and style in the bathroom

Entry #36, March 9, 2010

Vanities in the bathroom used to be the two cupboard-type doors that you would open and find toilet paper and 3 cans of Ajax under.  Today, vanities have come a long way. They are open, stylish, and perfect for bathrooms that don’t need a lot of under counter storage. Put the Ajax under the kitchen sink!

A few days ago we had a post about open nightstands, being for display and storage. Today, we look at vanities that have the same characteristics as nightstands.

Apartment Therapy has an article on different styles of open vanities.

Who knew “pipe-like” vanity legs could look this good?

You don’t have to give up your storage.  Look at this vanity with shelving for towels below. Read more about open vanity storage ideas at Kitchen Bath Ideas.

Don’t forget the kid’s bathroom! This fun vanity is whimsical but also practical for little one’s to grab a towel!

Kid’s have a place for everything at this fun vanity!

Tip:

Have you ever found a dresser or table that you want to convert into a vanity? Most carpenters and plumbers can tell you if your favorite piece of furniture will be able to hold a counter and sink.  A carpenter will be able to cut holes in the back for piping.
