Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.  Butter an 8-inch square baking pan, then line it with parchment, leaving a 2-inch overhang on 2 sides.  Grease the paper lining the bottom of the pan with butter.
  2. Take a heat proof bowl and set it over (not in) a pan of simmering water, over a medium heat, add in the chocolate and butter.  Stir the mixture until they melt.  Then remove from the heat and set aside.
  3. Next, in a large bowl, whisk the eggs, sugars, corn syrup, vanilla and salt to combine.  Then stir in the flour and the reserved chocolate mixture.  Begin to fold in the nuts and candy bar.
  4. Pour the batter into the square pan using a rubber spatula.  Bake the brownies for about 40 minutes until they are set in around the edges and with a wooden toothpick insert it into the center and if it comes out dry with a few crumbs when pulled out then they are ready.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan.  To serve, use the parchment overhang to lift the brownies from the pan, then cut into12 pieces and enjoy!!!
  • Add ice cream to the top of the brownie for more deliciousness!
