Here are some effective ideas to provide warmth in your home:

Cover all possible air leaks

The simplest way to regulate the temperature in your home is to lock down all possible entry of air outside. You can check out your windows, doors and other areas at home are potential entry point of air. Spending a reasonable amount for repairing and concealing is worth every penny. Consider using external wall insulation in your home to keep your home warm, and increase your batt insulation inside walls for added warmth from the outdoors.

Assess your curtains and its materials

When the season changes, your home should adapt to the environment. For instance, your curtains should be able to sustain the cold conditions during winter. It is highly recommended to use a heavier type of materials like velvet. The more appropriate your curtain materials, the better insulation you get from the conditions outside your home.

Use draft stoppers

This will serve as your secondary sealer to ensure that the cold air to get inside your home. This is perfect for your windows and doors that are primarily the entry point of air. You can do this by yourself or purchase them in your favorite store.
