Cute Halloween Costume Ideas for Kids
Pirate-themed Costume
Kids will just love this outfit for their Halloween party. You can prepare a cool pirate-themed costume at home. Collect old black pants, red scarf, gold blouse, eye patch, bandana, pirate’s hook, gold costume jewelry, and black face paint.
Fringe the edges of black pants with scissors and tuck in the blouse. Tie the bandana around your kid’s head and the scarf around his waist. Help him to put on the jewelry, hook, and the eye patch. After that, use the face paint to make beard and missing-tooth. Your kid is now ready to collect his booty!

Fairy or Circus Acrobat Costume for Girls
Your little girl will love to be a forest fairy or a flamboyant circus girl during the Halloween celebration. For the fairy costume, find out a colorful leotard and tulle. Complete the dressing by adding blooms at the waist and to the headband. Use artificial flowers made of colorful fabrics for this purpose.
On the other hand, a circus costume can be easily made from a leotard with transparent sleeves and a pair of satin pajama pants. Finish the look with sparkly and shimmering embellishments.
Jack & the Beanstalk-themed Costume
Kids love fairy tales and they will adore a Halloween costume based on a fairytale story. Bring the favorite storybook character ‘Jack’ to life this Halloween for your little boy. Make the tunic by cutting two pieces of burlap fabric and stitching them together. Cut the legs from a pair of green tights, stuff them with batting, and stitch their ends together. It will be the beanstalk. Pin it onto the tunic.

You can decorate the costume further by sticking letters to make the name ‘Jack’ on the chest of the tunic. Poke and twist chenille-stem vines around the stalk. Make bean-shaped cutouts and stick them onto the stalk with hot glue.
Butterfly Costume
Beautifully crafted and colorful wings can turn anyone, especially your little girl, into a dazzling butterfly. The wings can be made at home but you can reduce the labor by buying a pair of felt or transparent wings from a craft store. Combine the wings with plain black pants and top. Give the finishing touch by making a headband with pipe-cleaner antennae.
