Where to go
You have already discovered that there is a world out there to explore, but when planning a round the world trip, there are some rules to follow. You must choose one global direction-east or west and start and end the trip in the same country. Do some research and make a list of the countries you wish to travel to. I recommend hanging a world map on the wall.
Determine your budget
You do not want to force yourself to struggle for survival when this exciting world tour comes to an end. Do you? So, it’s essential to create a budget and stick to it. With internet being full of information, determining how much things like food, hotels, transportation, and sightseeing is going to cost is not a daunting task. Decide on the essential activities you would like to do in each country and for how long would you stay there before moving ahead. Buying round-the-world air tickets offered by alliances is also a great way to save on some extra bucks.
Vaccinations

During your RTW trip, you will most likely visit a few countries having health issues that requires you to get an assortment of vaccinations. It is recommended to visit your medical practitioner about 4-6 weeks before your trip as vaccines take some time to come in effect. Moreover, some vaccinations may also require you to take more than one shot.
Learn about new cultures
Every country you travel to will be different from where you left. After all, that’s the basic reason you want to travel. Research to get familiar about customs and traditions of various countries you are going to visit. This will help you minimize the culture shock you are most likely going to experience. It’s a great idea to learn basic greetings in different languages. You may also consider keeping a bilingual dictionary handy with you.
