Directions
For The Cookies
- You could use Preheat the oven to 350° and lay parchment paper on baking sheets.
- In a glass bowl whisk in flour, baking powder and salt.
- In a separate bowl beat in butter and sugar until the mixture is soft and fluffy. You could use an electric mixer for the same.
- Add one egg at a time to the butter sugar mix and blend well.
- Add vanilla extract and whisk again.
- Now slowly add the dry mixture into the blender and mix really well.
- Cover and let the dough cool for about an hour.
- After the dough has cooled off, take a little dough into your hands and make a little ball. Flatten the ball slightly and place it on the baking sheet.
- Fill the tray with unbaked cookies placed about 2 to 3 inches away from each other.
- Bake the batch for about 10-12 minutes. The edges will turn slightly brown, like really little so don’t overcook.
- Let the batch cool off completely.
For The Frosting
- Put the confectioner’s sugar in a glass bowl.
- Add melted butter, vanilla and about 7 to 8 tbsps milk into the bowl. Mix the contents well.
- Add more milk, little by little if the desired consistency has not been achieved.
- You could add a little of your favorite food color if need be.
Putting It Together
- With a spatula, spread a little frosting mix on the cooled cookies.
- Add sprinkles to make them look prettier.
These tasty cookies can be stored up to two days in an air tight container but taste the best when consumed on the day they are baked. And with cookies as mouth watering as these ones, you will not need any air tight containers at all. I am sure you must have baked these with your own twist sometime. Please share it with us as we would love to learn from you as well. Waiting for your comments in the box below 🙂
