Your bedroom is the one space in your home that is only for you. Although you can definitely put your stamp on the kitchen, living room, and even guest rooms in your house, you may feel the need to conform to social and style conventions when choosing the décor in rooms that will be seen by family, friends, and other guests. Your sleeping space, on the other hand, need only please you. So whether you feel most comfortable in a room that looks like it came straight out of Victorian England or you’d prefer a space-age theme, you shouldn’t hesitate to make at least this one space in your home one hundred percent personal. Of course, most people still won’t go to extremes with murals or outlandish decorations. If you’re simply looking to create a comfortable and stylish place to rest your head, you’ll want to include all the basics plus a bit of panache. And one thing that some people add to spruce up the space is a nice headboard. So here are a few ideas that will help you to put one in on your own.

Wall decals.
It’s surprisingly easy to find fun and affordable wall decals these days that will offer the decoration you want without the expense and hassle of installing a “real” headboard. Check out Blik (whatisblik.com) and Etsy to find a slew of cool options for wall stickers that can create a virtual headboard to frame the most prominent piece of furniture in your bedroom.
Paint and wallpaper.
If you’re not too keen on the idea of wall decals, you can still get the ease of application without the worry of having to remove stickers later on. Color-blocking is a major trend at the moment, so get yourself some FrogTape (or other painter’s tape), section off a rectangle on your wall, and paint in a block of color that will act as a headboard. You can also paint a swath from floor to ceiling behind your bed, or even put in a section of fancy wallpaper (much cheaper than doing the whole room or even the whole wall).
Wooden headboard.
If you want something a bit more pronounced, you can opt for a traditional headboard, and there are a couple of options here. One is to hit up yard sales in search of wayward headboards that you might refurbish and attach to your current bed frame or the wall behind your bed. You might also go to the lumber yard, pick out a piece you like, and turn it into a project. Get crafty with the power sander, carving tools, and stain and you could end up with a unique and beautiful piece of your own making.

Upholstering.
For some people, upholstering will provide an easy and attractive alternative to woodworking. And you might be surprised at how simple it is to create a gorgeous, tufted headboard. All you really need to start is a piece of plywood or particle board cut to size (most lumber yards or hardware stores can do this for you). Then you need enough fabric and batting to cover the headboard and then some. From there you’ll tuft the fabric by attaching buttons at even intervals and sewing through both layers (fabric and batting). All you have to do to finish is stretch the fabric over the face of the headboard and attach it to the back of the wood with a staple gun.
Do the whole wall.
While upholstered headboards are nice looking and easy to make, they’re not exactly new. If you’re looking for something more modern, the trend these days is to install a 3D wall behind your bed complete with shelves, lighting, and art. In essence, you bed will fit seamlessly into this whole-wall headboard.

Nice article and sharing, no doubt that we are recognized by the way we live, where we live, the bedroom furniture should be according to our style and resemble to our personality. The whole interior of the bedroom should have a link with each other i.e the headboard of bed frame must have a eye catching contrast with rest of the stuff in bedroom.
