Holiday Champagne Baked Ham

Total Time: Preparation time: 15 minutes. Bake: 2 hours
Yields: 15 to 20 servings
Ingredients:
1 boneless ham (9 pounds)
1 ½ cups Champagne
¾-cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
¾-teaspoon ground ginger
¾-teaspoon dry mustard
Procedure:
Place ham on a rack in a baking pan. Score the surface of the ham and bake, uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 ½ hours.
Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients-champagne, brown sugar, honey, ginger, and mustard in a small saucepan. Bring to boil and cook until glaze is reduced to half. Lower the heat while basting ham every 15-20 minutes until done. Garnish with spiced apples or pineapple slices if desired. Serve with remaining glaze.
