Thanksgiving Dessert for Kids: Indian Corn Cake

Ingredients
- 1 box of yellow cake mix (9 ounces)
- ½ cup of water
- 1 egg
- 1 can of vanilla frosting (16 ounces)
- 2 packages of colored chocolate candy pieces
- Dried corn husks
Procedure
- Mix the egg, cake mix, and water in a bowl. Bake according to the instructions on the box.
- Leave the cake to cool for 10 minutes then transfer it to a cooling rack.
- After the cake has completely cooled, place it in the deep freezer for approximately 30 minutes. A cold cake is easier to cut.
- Cut the cake into 3 ellipses (see image).
- Place the pieces on a flat surface and frost them.
- Arrange the pieces of colored chocolate on the top, sides, and bottom to simulate kernels.
- Attach the husks to the cake using additional frosting.
